Reviews
I’ve lived here for 12 months so this is my honest impression. I have overall enjoyed living in this building but it’s definitely not perfect (especially since the change in management)
Cons:
-The building has an elevator that is constantly breaking down and has not been working half the time I’ve lived here
-All the units facing the pool get no direct sunlight also everyone’s balcony is COVERED in pigeon feces making the space nearly unusable
-Walls are thin in the sense of you can hear very clearly any activity that’s going on in the hallway
-The gym has pretty limited equipment— for example only 2 treadmills, which are constantly occupied
-During the Summer the building went under significant renovation projects without giving tenants transparent timelines for projects. Some key amenities like the pool was closed down for ~2 months during peak season. Why weren’t these projects done in the spring, fall, or winter? And of course we weren’t given any discount/ refunds on the amenities charges.
-There is also a lack of security/ on duty personnel in the building after hours which make for less than optimal situations. My partner and I had our fobs mistakenly deactivated due on our initial lease end date (but we re-signed our lease and were never notified this would be an issue). This happened around 11:30pm and we had to wait outside of our apartment for over an hour for this issue to resolve since there’s no one in the building around that time to help
Pros:
-Love the Turtle Creek area — great walk ability and proximity to Katy Trail
-The building is well maintained (even though their timing for renovations is not well planned)
-The majority of their units have very spacious layouts
-The staff is very nice/friendly, and maintenance requests are addressed quickly
Please read this review carefully before leasing here. The building has an elevator that has not been working for the majority of my 16 months of living here. Communications state that they are constantly waiting on parts or that the elevator itself has failed inspections.
The building also undertakes large capital renovation projects without notifying tenants in advance or providing accurate descriptions and timelines for projects. The exterior of the building has been getting painted for over 2 months and the pool has been closed as a result, without any prior notice being given to tenants. This is a capex project that should have been done in the spring or fall so that residents would not have their amenities (which are $75 a month) impacted.
There is also a lack of security in the building which has lead
To a variety of issues including cars being broken into and stolen and most recently a homeless person making their way to the 7th floor and leaving a mess overnight. When asked about these issues the building is non communicative, even when requests have been made at the corporate level.
If you’re looking to rent in the area and value consistent and clear communication from your property manager this is not the building for you.
Only two main elevators in the building and one of them is always broken. Lots of car break-ins despite the great location. You’d think for the price of the rent they’d have better security.
Recently had a lot of staff change over, and there is a miserable woman working at the front desk named Edith who should probably be in a role that is not customer-facing.
In the market for luxurious apartment living? Cantabria at Turtle Creek has it all. Some amenities offered include: A resort style pool, rooftop sky lounge, vaulted ceilings, full size front load washer and dryers, quartz countertops, a private patio or balcony, a dog park/pet lounge, a full service concierge team and amazing staff🤩. Cantabria is within walking distance to Oak Lawn, trendy eateries and entertainment. Katy Trail, Uptown and Downtown Dallas are a few short minutes away. Centrally located, Cantabria would be perfect for those not yet ready for home ownership. Great location, competitive pricing, luxurious amenities and a high walkability score all make this a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ experience.
Do not lease here they will tell you what you want to hear just to get you to sign a lease. Elevator one has not worked in months. There’s a back elevator, that here and there sometimes won’t work so that leaves the residents of 9 floors to use just one elevator. The leasing managers will tell you it’s going to get fixed and never does. The AC Unit on the 9th floor did not work from June until the beginning of October. My ac unit went out 3-4 times and twice had to use the portable ac. The doors at the sky lounge are also broken. The door to the dog park is broken and people use rocks to keep it open so that means anyone can come through that door. The garage door is also broken every few months. I swear I think they rigged things up temporarily and then it breaks again. Everyone in this building is so frustrated how this building is not kept up. People are moving out right and left. Don’t believe them when they tell they’re going to renovate the building…it’s a lie!!! I don’t know if these are fake good reviews because this building is a joke
There are 3 elevators and one is always broken. The staff is nice, dog park is good. A ton of construction around this building so it is loud. People always moving in and out and sometimes driveways are blocked Ny moving trucks and than we …
Pros:
- Units are nice with good layouts
- Dog friendly …
I've lived here for 3 years and cannot speak more highly of this complex. Maintenance requests are met within 24 hours, each floor level is mopped and vacuumed weekly, quiet and respectful neighbors, new workout machines, free covered …
